You can sign up on the Podback website. Please follow the online instructions to create your personal Podback account.
Getting rid of your pods
Please separate aluminium and plastics pods.
Find your nearest drop-off point on the Podback website. You can also take the pods to your local recycling centre.
If you choose to use supermarket drop-off points, you will need to use Podback bags. Order Podback bags on their website.
Types of coffee pods you can recycle
You can recycle plastic and aluminium pods for coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milk.
When you sign up on the Podback website, you will be asked what brand of pods you use so you get the correct bag.
How the pods are recycled
The pods are taken to specialist aluminium and plastic reprocessing plants in the UK.
The coffee grounds are removed, and the plastic and aluminium are then transformed into new products, including:
- drink cans,
- car components,
- plastic garden furniture, and
- building products.
The coffee grounds are used to create soil improver and renewable energy (biogas).
