The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (EPR) amalgamate the previous Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Regime and the Waste Management Regime together into one piece of consolidated legislation.
Activities that require a permit are defined by the EPR and it is an offence to operate without one.
Currently Cardiff has approximately 80 industrial processes regulated under the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
