As a student, you can register to vote at both your home and term-time addresses. This could give you the opportunity to take part in different elections.
You will need to choose 1 address and you can only vote in that area when voting in:
- UK Parliament elections
- Senedd elections
UK referendums
It is a criminal offence to vote at more than 1 address in these elections.
For other elections, you can vote at both addresses if they are in different council areas.
You can choose to vote in either or both areas when voting in:
- Local council elections in Wales
Police and Crime commissioner elections
International students
If you are an international student studying in Wales, you can register and vote in:
- Senedd (Welsh Parliament) elections
- Local council elections
