Please see the latest information about garden waste collections.

Organic material like grass cuttings, leaves and weeds go in your garden waste.

You may need to register for garden waste collections. To register, please contact Connect to Cardiff (C2C) on 029 2087 2087.

Use this for

  • Grass cuttings
  • Leaves
  • Weeds
  • Small branches and twigs
  • Small plants
  • Flowers

Do not use this for

  • Sawdust
  • Woodchip and bark
  • Hay
  • Shredded paper
  • Pet waste (such as animal poo and droppings)
  • Nappies
  • Soil or rubble
  • Wood or decking
  • Cardboard
  • Flower pots
  • Old garden tools, such as trowels, spades and watering cans
  • Food waste
  • Electrical equipment

Properties using bins

If you have moved into a new property and need a new bin, or if you need to replace a lost or stolen bin, please contact Connect to Cardiff (C2C) on 029 2087 2087.

You can have a maximum of 2 green bins.

Bins cost £35 each. Deliveries take up to 15 working days.

Properties using sacks

You can order reusable sacks by calling Connect to Cardiff (C2C) on 029 2087 2087.

You can put a maximum of 5 sacks out for collection.

Sacks cost £3.50 each. Deliveries may take up to 15 working days.
