Please make sure you enter your first name, last name and postcode exactly how they appear on your bill.You will find your 8 digit account number on your council tax bill.
Use your account number to access your council tax account online.
View details of:
- how much you need to pay,
- when you need to pay,
- your valuation band,
- the payments you have made, and
- any charges that are due.
When you have signed in to your account, you can also:
- set up a Direct Debit,
- amend a Direct Debit,
- make an online application for a refund,
- complete student exemption review, and
- complete single person discount review.

Unfortunately if your council tax account is in the name of a company or property agent you will not be able to access information through Council Tax Online.
Council Tax e-billing
You can opt out of paper bills and start receiving council tax bills electronically.
This means you can access your bills at a time that is convenient for you.
You will also receive reminders or final notices electronically.
How to sign up for e-billing
You will need your council tax account number to sign in to our online council tax system. Once you have signed in you can select to receive e-bills in future.
