What we are doing to upgrade our website to improve accessibility and security for customers.

Your council tax online

Please make sure you enter your first name, last name and postcode exactly how they appear on your bill.You will find your 8 digit account number on your council tax bill.
Use your account number to access your council tax account online.

View details of:

  • how much you need to pay,
  • when you need to pay,
  • your valuation band,
  • the payments you have made, and
  • any charges that are due.

When you have signed in to your account, you can also:

  • set up a Direct Debit,
  • amend a Direct Debit,
  • make an online application for a refund,
  • complete student exemption review, and
  • complete single person discount review.

If you need to speak to someone about your council tax please contact us.

Unfortunately if your council tax account is in the name of a company or property agent you will not be able to access information through Council Tax Online.

 

Council Tax e-billing

You can opt out of paper bills and start receiving council tax bills electronically.

This means you can access your bills at a time that is convenient for you.

You will also receive reminders or final notices electronically.


How to sign up for e-billing

You will need your council tax account number to sign in to our online council tax system. Once you have signed in you can select to receive e-bills in future.

Please include your council tax number when you contact us through our online forms.

You can call Connect to Cardiff (C2C) on 029 2087 2087 Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm.

Please note that the contact centre is closed during UK public holidays. If you call when our contact centre is closed, you will hear a message giving useful information.
